TOM FORD IS BACK – AND IS NOT HOLDING BACK

One of  the most anticipated collections of any season for us, is TOM FORD. Since his rein at GUCCI, we have been waiting to see what he will do next for the world of high fashion, both for women and men. It seems that nothing he can do, can or will ever disappoint. This year, the American fashion designer, seems to have a lot up his sleeve. Tom Ford, known for putting on a good show, presented his Fall 2013 collection, a new perfume, and a fabulous eyewear collection. After what seemed to be almost an eternal break (5 seasons precisely), the designer recently returned to the catwalk with loud, vibrant pieces for men and women. The designer who normally does not host shows open to the public, hosted his very first runway show in London, open to all, even inviting photographers and bloggers.

The cartoon-like collection includes a unique variety of pieces, with different shapes and designs, staying true to his past collections. Attention to detail and precision is apparent throughout the entire line. With complete fuchsia outfits, beaded zigzag patterns, metallic sheer tops, and zebra patterned heels; the collection is far from average. The designer, famous for single-handily revamping the GUCCI label in 1994, plans on taking the TOM FORD brand to the highest heights and we are eagerly watching to see what is next. Recently, Paris welcomed a three-storey TOM FORD flagship store, on rue Saint-Honoré, housing the designer’s women’s and menswear, as well make-up, fragrances and sunglasses. The luxury store was designed by architect Simon Ibgui, who was also responsible for the design of the Tom Ford’s first Paris exclusive store.
