Bang & Olufsen : Immaculately Wireless

Any music lover worth his or her salt should be acquainted with Bang & Olufsen, the ultimate purveyors of luxury sound systems. Relentless in their pursuit of the perfect reproduction of sound (as the artist undoubtedly intended it), the Danish company recently launched a line of three new wireless speakers.

Founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen in Struer Denmark, Bang & Olufsen have always been dedicated to “outstanding acoustics, uncompromising design and craftsmanship and technological innovation that make life simpler for discerning users”. With a focus on complete audio and video solutions for anything from the home to hospitality and automotive industries, Bang & Olufsen can always be counted on to provide a seamless media experience for the discerning user, wherever they may be.

Each premium speaker is a fine example of the brand’s sleek and unique design aesthetic. The new line-up includes the BeoLab 17, a wedge-like, compact speaker with tremendous sound; the BeoLab 18, the most recent embodiment of the brand’s signature sculptural column speakers (for walls and/or floors); and the BeoLab 19, a dodecahedral subwoofer that’s all about the bass. Impeccable design aside, Bang & Olufsen keep themselves firmly on the cutting edge with their BeoLab series being the first of their kind to feature the groundbreaking new technology, Immaculate Wireless Sound. Using the new WiSA standard for multi-channel wireless sound, the BeoLab series not only provides extraordinary acoustics but the flexibility to incorporate incredible sound into any room.

Of the new series, Lars Fredsgaard, Speaker Category Director of Bang & Olufsen says, “These new speakers are at the vanguard of a new era of high-end sound. Until now, speakers with this level of performance had to be wired. Our latest launch uses a robust wireless standard with enough bandwidth and channels to deliver a listening experience the way the artist intended it. Upgrading to premium sound – without downgrading your décor – is now available in three ways.”

The BeoLab, 17, 18 and 19 will be available all through November at Bang and Olufsen stores worldwide. In conjunction with this release, Bang & Olufsen are also introducing ‘The Living Room Tour’, an ongoing project which provides artists with a platform to share their love of music – starting with none other than Paul McCartney. With their custom-made components, dedicated sound engines, unparalleled acoustics and wireless setup, this bit of news is music to our ears!
