TASTE MAKERS – JUVIA MIAMI

We love nothing more than immersing ourselves in inspiring restaurant spaces that are truly reinventing the fine dining experience. This once rigid constitution that had a secret society persona, has since transformed into an enjoyable experience with countless food aficionado devotees. JUVIA is a great example of this; with a divine menu, and fused with cordial and courteous construction; this exquisite 10,000 sq. foot indoor/outdoor restaurant and lounge is perched on the penthouse level of the 1111 Lincoln Road car park. The restaurant boasts an unimpeded and truly sensational view of the Atlantic Ocean, and South Beach’s famed Art Deco District, complete with a vertical garden designed by internationally acclaimed botanist Patrick Blanc.

JUVIA, created by Restaurateurs Jonas and Alexandra Millan – was inspired by Miami’s cultural diversity, inconspicuously blends into the melting pot culture enriched with diverse cuisine, a sensational landscape, and the city’s natural beauty. “Juvia is a destination for both locals and tourists looking to enjoy an exquisite meal in one of the most coveted settings in South Florida, Our goal for Juvia was to offer diners an elegant experience with amazing food, great drinks and attentive service in a one-of-a-kind setting.” Along with a beautiful locale, is an incredibly vivacious kitchen team bursting with culinary talent. Armed with Executive Chef Laurent Cantineaux, Executive Chef Sunny Oh, Executive Sous Chef Kaoru Chang, and Corporate Pastry Chef Gregory Gourreau, the charismatic and dynamic kitchen team is truly reflected in Juvia’s tantalizing menu.

The space was created by Venezuelan-based designer Alejandro Barrios Carrero, and his vision was clear, and completely on trend with the Miami restaurant circuit. Upon entering, guests are guided through oversized doors leading to the restaurant’s private elevators, which soars nine stories above the cities landscape. In close proximity to the entrance, lies a long table made from petrified wood forms providing a humble and hearty greeting to the outdoor dining location complimented by a serene fountain in the centre of the space. An immense trackless retractable roof allows for Juvia’s terrace to be a year-round destination for patrons, but is in perfect harmony with the main dining room complete with an open kitchen and luminous amethyst bar. With no detail overlooked, and every crevice with a plan, this space is the perfect setting for a sumptuous meal, complete with a wondrous view. CITYGUIDE. :: A must-experience while in Miami.
