A VISIT TO THE TEMPLAR

TEMPLAR HOTEL – TORONTO

We recently visited The Templar hotel in Toronto – which is truly a hidden gem in the city. So hidden in fact, that when heading there, we actually walked right by the slim, beautifully designed 8 story building on Adelaide St. W. However, this is what is so special about The Templar; it is discreet from the exterior, but quite the marvel, once you step foot into the world of Toronto-based designers Del Terrelonge and  John Wee Tom.
When you enter, you are greeted by a floating reception desk and specially-designed Poliform furnishings, giving the lobby that custom-built luxury. You get a feeling of chill throughout the entire building – from the chef and private kitchen downstairs, to the 27 marble-dressed rooms and suites – and let’s not forget, the spectacular rooftop bar. There’s even a Japanese-style spa, complete with a deep, sand-blasted pool, through which you can gaze down into the Templar’s design-inspired bar. So if you are traveling to Toronto and wish to step away from the hype and into a world of design and custom luxe – The Templar is your next experience.
